Please remember that registration for the Rock Valley, IA race closes tomorrow at 10:59 p.m. If you fail to register using Series Tracker there will be a $50 per class fee charged. NO RACER will be entered after noon on Wednesday

Tickets for the Rivers Bend Shootout are $15 per day or buy a 2-day pass for $25. Kids 8-17 years of age are $10 and $15, with 8 and under free. Concessions from Pizza Ranch, Prairie Hills Cafe and Sioux County Snowmobile Club will also be available on-site.

2018 Grantsburg World Championship reminders: 

Registration closes at 10:59 p.m. CST on Tuesday, July 17. There is a $50.00 per class fee for anyone that fails to register thru Series Tracker.

***ALL REGISTRATION closes at 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 19th. NO EXCEPTION!! No racers will be added after noon on Thursday.***
ISR Insurance (annual or weekend) is required for anyone racing and will be verified before you can receive a pit pass.  ISR Insurance can be purchased by visiting www.isrlicense.com

Driver Check-In is at The American Legion from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, and at the IWA Merchandise Trailer from 8:00-10:30 on Friday, July 20. For racers that do not compete in the drag classes- Check-In will be available throughout the day Friday during the drag races.

The Island will be open at 12:00 noon on Thursday for pit parking.

Racing starts at:
12:00 noon on Friday, July 20  (driver meeting 11:30 a.m.)
9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 21  (drivers meeting 8:30 a.m.)
10:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 22  (drivers meeting 9:30 a.m.)

Safety Tech: REQUIRED for anyone who hasn’t raced with the IWA yet this year. Someone will be in the pit from 2:00-6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, and from 8:00-10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 20.

You *CANNOT* race without the 2018 IWA Safety tech sticker.


42nd Annual World Championship Snowmobile Watercross

July 11th, 2018 – Races • Street Dances • Fireworks

The World Championship Snowmobile Watercross is held each year in July at Memory Lake Park in Grantsburg, WI and is hosted by the Grantsburg Hockey Association. The event is held Friday, Saturday and Sunday and features the top racers from the United States and Canada, each hoping to capture the World Champion honor and the large cash purse.

The thrill of racing snowmobiles over water has attracted thousands of spectators each year. Spectators and racers alike enjoy panoramic views of Memory Lake. There is plenty of spectator room, plus camping facilities, displays, food and beverage vendors, kids play area, street dances with live music and other activities.

Watercross begins on Friday with IWA racing action starting at noon, rolling into the evening with a street dance. Racing continues on Saturday and Sunday, ending around 5:00 p.m. on Sunday when the champions are determined. On Saturday evening, there will be entertainment on the water before the street dance and take part in the “The Best Fireworks Around.” The fireworks spectacular begins at dusk and draws thousands of satisfied viewers.

Whether you are a snowmobile enthusiast or not, Watercross will provide you with a most unusual and enjoyable summer experience. Plan to spend the weekend by camping or staying at our local motel or B&B. Find more lodging options in the county here.

If you’re bold enough to try racing a snowmobile across open water, please contact the International Watercross Association (IWA), who sanctions the races.


July 9th, 2018

Just a reminder Round 2 of our Mechanics Race Series will take place at Grantsburg Friday after Drag Racing. We will be running two classes a Novice class and Pro mechanics class.

If you have ever been an IWA member you ARE considered to be in the Pro Mechanics Class. Current Members must be on a sled that is NOT their own.

Entry Fee is $20.00. Proceeds will go to the injured drivers fund.

Come join us for an action packed weekend as the IWA circuit makes its annual stop in Menomonie, Wisconsin on June 30th and July 1st, 2018! Watch racers gear up to speed their sleds from the beach across ample open water at speeds up to 70 mph! Men and women racers aim to crush their heat as they take their specially fitted snowmobiles onto the waters of Lake Menomin.

There is food and beverage onsite and live music on the beach Saturday night… come for a night or stay for the whole weekend. It is great fun for the whole family with plenty of racing action!

Regular Ticket Prices:

16 yrs and older: $25 for weekend / $15 for one day
10-15 yrs old: $10 for weekend / $10 for one day
Under 10 yrs old: Free with Paid Adult

Driver Check-in will be at the IWA Merch Trailer from 8:00-9:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 16. You must have purchased ISR insurance and have a BIR wristband before you can receive your pit pass.

Driver meeting will start at 9:30 a.m. and is held in the pits.

The BIR Spring race is just around the corner.  Please remember that registration closes on Wednesday June 13th at 10:59 P.M.  C.S.T.  There is an additional $50 fee if you fail to register using Series Tracker.



Since Moose Lake is four short days away here are some friendly reminders:

Registration closes at 10:59 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30th. There is a $50 late fee for any rider that fails to register using Series Tracker.

Driver Check-in will be at Gampers, 4654 Co Road 61 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 1. You must have purchased ISR insurance before you can receive your pit pass.

Safety Tech will be available at the event on Friday from 5:00-7:00 and Saturday Morning.

Driver meeting is held in the pits and will start at 9:30.
